VR-Zone has been raiding the booths over at Computex and stumbled upon a system equipped with the not yet launched Radeon HD 4850, also known as RV770Pro. The graphics card that will be launched in about two weeks was up and running using the latest Catalyst beta drivers and could easily be overclocked to 700MHz core. When overclocked, the card scored P6466 points in the Performance profile in 3DMark Vantage. That's in line with a slightly overclocked GeForce 8800GTX with an Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9650 (3.0GHz). On the other hand, we have no exact specifications for the Radeon HD 4850 system so it's hard to find a really good comparison.
