CoolIT develops Skulltrail water cooling
Written by Andreas G 13 June 2008 22:30

CoolIT has announced two new water cooling modules specially designed to cool Intel's extreme enthusiast platform known as Skulltrail. The two new models bear the same names as the models they are based on but also carry the suffix "ST", short for SkullTrail we presume. Boreas MTEC Chassis ST is an updated version of the Boreas system cooler, which comes installed in the (very nice) Silverstone TJ07 chassis, while PURE ST is more of a dedicated CPU cooler. Both of these are based on a kind of MTEC-assisted water cooling, and designed to be maintenance-free and easy to install. In fact, they will fit inside pretty much any case with a rear 120mm fan mount.

"CoolIT’s new ST lineup will enable PC Enthusiasts to fully maximize the performance of Intel’s new Skull Trail platform technology" said Geoff Lyon, CEO of CoolIT Systems. "We’ve worked closely with Intel to develop this customized Skull Trail liquid cooling solution and the end result will excite PC Enthusiasts and Gamers world-wide."
