youngpro and Biostar TPower I45 breaks FSB record with 724MHz!
Written by Andreas G 21 June 2008 12:21

Motherboard manufacturer Biostar made a new initiative a while back and launched a new series of motherboards designed for overclockers, called TPower. While we certainly applauded their attempt, the first motherboard based on the nForce 750i chipset it may not have been what most overclockers were looking for. Shortly afterwards, Biostar announced the TPower I45, based on the Intel P45 chipset, which has started to grow on both us and the community. Over the last weeks we've noticed a couple of quite impressive attempts to reach quite high FSBs. First we hear 645MHz FSB with air cooling by Belgian Pt1t, but then he lowered the temperatures and reached 675MHz FSB and a peak clock of 6GHz with one core enabled. It didn't stop there.

He then got beat by Aussie overclocker youngpro who first reached 685MHz, but then trumped his own record and broke the FSB world record by climbing to 724MHz. He also managed to get his CPU up and over 6GHz. Below is the CPU-Z validation of the FSB world record.
