Western Digital planning 74Gb and 150GB VelociRaptors?
Written by Andreas G 21 June 2008 15:07

An eagle-eyed user spotted that Western Digital has two more VelociRaptors listed at its support page, beside the recently launched 300GB model (WD3000GLFS). The two models look like single platter models, where the 150GB model (WD1500GLFS) would use both sides of the platter, while one side of the platter would be disabled with the 74GB (WD740GLFS). The overall specifications are the same, the only difference is the capacity. Looking at the id number, we can see that these two models were added to the knowledge database at a later date. We have no idea when these models would be launched or what they will cost, but they evidently exist.
