Wine (Wine Is Not an Emulator) has been in development for more than 15 years now it was just recently that it entered code freeze and focused purely on the bug fixes to have a stable release out before the end of June. The list of contributors and beta testers is miles long and even if the compatibility isn't perfect, the list of applications that do work is quite impressive. You can either download the source code and compile it for yourself or fetch the binaries at the official website to get your Windows applications running in Linux, BSD or OSX.
