Asetek launches water blocks for Radeon HD 4800
Written by Andreas G 03 July 2008 23:03

Asetek is fast to update its LCLC (Low Cost Liquid Cooling) to support the very latest hardware. Just a week or so after AMD and NVIDIA launched its very latest graphics cards, Asetek updated its assortment of cooling blocks to include blocks that will fit both of them. Although, in the case of Radeon HD 4800 it might not have required much work as the mounting and overall layout is quite similar to older cards. Asetek's own tests showed that the Radeon core ran 26 degrees Celsius cooler.

"We are extremely pleased to provide a single-slot graphics card cooling solution with no graphics fan noise." says Gary Baum, Asetek’s Senior VP of Marketing. "Our thermal solution extends overclocking performance for the maximum PC gaming experience."

Most importantly, the card became completely silent since the only audible form of cooling is the fan on the heat exchanger. You can expect OEMs and PC builder to update their systems with Radeon HD 4800 water cooling support soon, if they don't already have.
