Packard Bell unveiled a killer machine during the Electronic Sports World Cup in Paris to attract some new customers. The ipower X2.0 is a gaming rig from top to toe, with powerful hardware inside and a design to match. Packard Bell has been cautious when designing the new rig to make sure it won't overheat and has chosen to go with Asetek's LCLC cooling, but has also installed three more 120mm fans to keep the hardware temperatures at bay, while still producing the least possible amount of noise
"We’re very happy to present our newest gaming PC to the public for the first time at the Gaming World Cup. The ipower X2.0 was designed to meet the needs of all PC gamers, from pro players to league competitors and hobbyists", said Emmanuel Fromont, vice president sales and marketing at Packard Bell. "With this launch, Packard Bell extends its commitment to the world of gaming, and we hope our participation will help expand this exciting market space".
The hardware can of course be specified, to some extent, by the buyer, but we're talking performance to high-end stuff: GeForce GX2, Radeon HD 4870, Intel Core 2 Quad or Extreme and up to 3TB of storage. If you want you can also make it a bit of multimedia machine by adding a Blu-ray player and hybrid TV tuner card to the build.
To make sure that you have something to use it for, Packard Bell sends along Pro Evolution Soccer 2008, Need For Speed ProStreet or Need for
Speed Carbon and Crysis, to mention a few. ipower X2.0 will become available around Christmas and will cost from €900 to €1799 and beyond.
