Acer G24 - gaming LCD with 50,000:1 contrast ratio
Written by Andreas G 09 July 2008 21:06

Acer has announced a new gaming monitor in a class of its own, the G24. According to Acer's measurements and thanks to the Adaptive Contrast Management (ACM), G24 has achieved a dynamic contrast ratio of 50,000:1 and for once that doesn't mean that the brightness is going to low, but 400cd/m² thanks to CrystalBrite. As the name reveals, G24 is a 24" monitor and it has 1920x1200 pixels resolution. Furthering strengthening the fact that this is a gaming monitor, Acer claims a response time of only 2ms.

It has the same design as the recently unveiled Aspire Predator gaming system and comes with eColor Management for optimal colors and viewing in different environments. I has both DVI and HDMI inputs for your graphics card to connect to.

Both price and availability date is unknown at this time.
