Microsoft to broaden Sidewinder series with X6 keyboard
Written by Andreas G 16 July 2008 22:11

The Microsoft Sidewinder series made a much celebrated return about a year ago in the form of the gaming mouse Sidewinder X5 and it now seems like Microsoft is hoping for a similar reception when it launches a keyboard of the same series. Sidewinder X6 is the name of the keyboard that is directly targeted to gamers and it becomes pretty obvious as soon as you notice the number of programmable macro keys. The detachable numpad can be attached to either the right or the left side of the keyboard for the best possible gaming experience.

The pictures of Sidewinder X6 also shows that the keyboard comes with two large round buttons or controllers, exactly what they do is uncertain. Some have guessed its for adjusting the volume, but that seems a bit exaggerated, we will simply have to wait and see. Microsoft is expected to make an official announcement as soon as the keyboard is launched in September with an MSRP of $59.95.
