Bloomfield is the code-name for the desktop quad-core processor based on the Nehalem architecture that will launch in the fourth quarter of this year. We've previously reported that Intel will be launching three different models targeting the three highest performance segments of the market: Extreme, Performance and Upper mainstream. The three models will operate at 3.2GHz, 2.93GHz and 2.66GHz respectively and cost $990, $555 and $285 each. These all use the same LGA 1366 socket, but the exact specifications varies as covered by our previous report.
