Ibex Peak is the chipset that will accompany the LGA1160 platform. We recently reported about the mobile version that will be a part of the mobile Nehalem platform Calpella in Q3 2009. Expreview has posted some juicy information on the coming chipset that reveals quite a bit about what features to expect, and as expected, Ibex Peak is slated for August/September 2009.
Except from the previously mentioned Calpella platform, Ibex Peak will be used for three additional platforms: Piketon for the busines users, Kings Creek for the DIY/retail market and Foxhollow for workstations and servers.
Among the chipset features we see an abundance of video outputs; HDMI, DisplayPort, DVI and SDVO are listed in the leaked specifications table. These are most likely directly linked to the integrated graphics core of the Havendale processors.
