OCZ DDR2 PC2-6400 "P45 Special" Vista Upgrade 16GB kit!
Written by Andreas G 12 August 2008 20:12

OCZ is a leading innovator of memory modules for gamers and overclockers. OCZ is usually one of the first to present modules operating at new frequencies, but now OCZ has shown the world that it also knows how to design a high capacity module. It has namely launched a new series of 4GB memory modules, exclusively supported by Intel's P45 chipset and the flagship product contains four of these beefy modules for a total of 16GB RAM. OCZ's new P45 Special series comes in various flavors and designs with three different 8GB kits (2x4GB) with different latencies.

All modules are specified to PC2-6400 (800MHz), which means that they are all DDR2 modules. The four kits that has been announced by OCZ are as follows;

OCZ PC2-6400 Platinum 8GB (2x4GB) Kit CL5-4-4-15
OCZ PC2-6400 Gold 8GB (2x4GB) Kit CL5-5-5-15
OCZ PC2-6400 Vista Upgrade 8GB (2x4GB) Kit CL5-6-6-18

OCZ PC2-6400 Vista Upgrade 16GB (4x4GB) Quad Kit CL5-6-6-18

No pricing was given in the press release, but we can only assume they will be high.
