It's no secret that Intel is planning to unveil a new microarchitecture later this year. The existence of Nehalem was uncovered long ago, but many details have remained clouded until this very day, and many are still to be revealed. Intel has decided to increase the hype a bit by releasing vague information about a "turbo mode". This mode would enable a processor of the next generation to operate faster, without a heat penalty. Details were of course not revealed, but if you're wondering they are not referring to HyperThreading, this is something new.
