ASUS N10 - Eee moves up a class or two
Written by Andreas G 25 August 2008 20:03

ASUS is about to launch a new ultraportable, also known as a netbook, sporting 10.2" display but unlike the current ultraportables, this one is not a new member of the Eee family. ASUS' series of budget computers have expanded at an explosive rate and we've almost felt like ASUS has been trying to brand pretty much anything with the Eee logo. This new model is different though, this one comes with ASUS own branding, ASUS N10, and the target consumer is the fastidious users. ASUS has equipped the laptop with a stylish casing in a mix of silver and black piano paint in an attempt to lure customers.

The clean exterior is matched by 10.2" display with 1024x600px resolution, Altec Lansing speakers, HDMI output, fingerprint reader and 320GB harddrive. ASUS N10 is simply more than what EeePC 1000 ever was, but still feels like a relative, maybe the richer uncle? The price will of course match this and over at Blogeee.net they believe the price will land somewhere between 330 to 430€.

The interior remains unknown though, and depending on what you find in there the price may very well skyrocket, it may very well be that the choice of hardware is still pending.
