Lian Li XB01 does the job
Written by Andreas G 04 September 2008 20:20

Lian Li is the first case manufacturer who have done what many have been thinking of doing, designing a new case specially designed for Microsoft's "hot" video game console Xbox 360. The console has been suffering from overheating since the launch, even though the cooling is anything but quiet, which has resulted in a number of home-made cooling devices and even after-market coolers specially designed for the console. No manufacturer thought of replacing the entire case though. Lian Li PC-XB01 is precisely that and after the shorter preview, Bit-tech has posted the full review.

The conclusion is that Lian Li PC-XB01 really does what you would expect from it, cools the video game console more efficiently and not the least makes it almost complete silent. But the questions is if the ends justify the means, because it is anything but easy to open up and move the parts to a new case Not to mention the fact that you will void the warranty. Lian Li PC-XB01 performs as expected, but it is up to each his own if it is worth the risks.
