Opera 9.6 renders websites faster than ever before
Written by Andreas G 09 October 2008 19:49

Opera has ended up in the shadows of two major browsers, Firefox and Internet Explorer. When Google, perhaps the most common site to visit on the web, launched its own browser named Chrome, Opera once again was left behind and had to watch as the other settled the score. But even though Opera may not cause the same commotion as Firefox, Internet Explorer or Chrome, it has a strong and faithful following for one very simple reason; it is a very good browser that has now been updated to version 9.6.

Opera 9.6 comes with a set of new feature including Opera Link, Feed Preview and a substantial speed boost. Opera 9.6 will render pages noticeably faster than previous version and this is something the three competitors have been spending a lot of time and energy on trying to improve.

Opera is completely free of charge and you can download at Opera's website where you will also find the release notes for version 9.6.
