Foxconn Quantum Force 'Blood Rage' X58 preview
Written by Andreas G 21 October 2008 14:11

Foxconn is working on getting a bigger portion of the enthusiast motherboard market and especially before the coming launch of Intel's coming Core i7 where the new Intel X58 chipset will become the first platform. Over at VR-Zone they've published both pictures and specifications of Foxconn Quantum Force 'Blood Rage' X58 which is just as extreme as its previous boards. The board comes with a 14 phase power supply for the CPU and the list of specifications include support for Quad Crossfire, 3-way SLI + PhysX and DDR3-1800 (when overclocking).

It's quite interesting how this board only comes with 3 memory slots, unlike most other X58 motherboards that has 6 slots. This could be seen as a budget choice, but to us it just emphasizes the focus on extreme overclocking. If you want the best possible overclocking and optimal performance there will be at most three modules in use, anything else will just become an obstacle.

The pictures they have posted are not of the final design, but Foxconn looks to have something really interesting coming with the new Blood Rage motherboard.
