NordicHardware covering Battle of the North at DreamHack
Written by Andreas G 29 November 2008 13:38

Many years ago we at NordicHardware started a tradition of live overclocking displays at DreamHack and during DreamHack Winter 2008 they are once again being held, but this time as a competition between three national teams. The teams come from Sweden, Finland and the Netherlands, the latter may not be a country of the Nordics, but still a country with prominent overclockers that will show off their skills live at a concurrent event in the Netherlands; Het Multimedia Event. The three teams are as follows;

Team Sweden
Sweden is represented by “Kinc” (Markus Hultin) and “crotale” (Robert Kihlberg). The will be performing at DreamHack.

Team Finland
Finland is represented by “Sampsa” (Sampsa Kurri) and Ville Suvanto. Overclocking at DreamHack.

Team Netherlands
The Netherlands is represented by Hardware.info’s Masters of Overclocking consisting of “Extera” (Mark van Velthoven), “Oldscarface” (Roger Kortenhoeven) and “Viss” (Bart Peters). They are competing at Het Multimedia Event.

Both Kinc and crotale are well known profiles here at NordicHardware where they have performed numerous overclocking achievements and contributed and written articles through the years which makes us very eager to see what they can as the competition progresses.

NordicHardware will be following the development live with direct reports today (Saturday), but also reports from DreamHack in general, so keep an eye out for more news from DreamHack.

More information on Battle of the North can be found at DreamHack's website.
