Written by Andreas G 02 May 2009 17:28

General Electric recently unveiled its latest progress in holographic storage technology and we now have some additional information that was not present the press release. It's a short video presentation where they discuss how the technology will achieve up to 1TB, or more, with a DVD-size disc. As you perhaps know, the holographic storage technology use the entire medium and through chemical reactions within the material it creates patterns used for storing data.

GE's demonstration video of its holographic storage technology was found at YouTube where Brian Lawrance of GE describe how the technology will be able to store as much as 500 CDs in the same format.
