That Solid State Drives are perfect for notebooks is no secret. With its durability and impressive performance, despite the mere size, it is often the portable market that take the greatest advantage of the SSD technology. Toshiba is the first manufacturer to launch a notebook with a 512GB SSD, which means the storage capacity is enough to replace even mechanical 2.5" drives.
Toshiba Portégé R600 is a 12" model with some really slim measurements and light weight with 8 battery time, which adds up to a quite interesting highly portable notebook.
Next to the record size SSD we find a Core 2 Duo SU9400 processor and 3GB DDR2 memory, but as expected there is a catch and that is the price, which was to be expected with 512GB SSD.

The price of Toshiba Portégé R600 start at around $3,500.
