Asetek Vapochill Micro
Written by Delph1 10 March 2005 13:24

The Danish cooling manufacturer Asetek has announced a new series of processor coolers that are very similar to their phase change solutions that uses a cooling substance that goes between phases to cool the processor.
The big difference with Vapochill Micro is that it doesn't use a compressor and only relies on the Earth's gravitation to make this circulating effect possible.

Vapochill Micro doesn't really look like anything we've seen before and the cooler consists out of chambers filled with gas/liquid that is the key of the whole process. Then a radiator system is used, and in some extreme cases a fan to make the cooling more efficient.

Asetek Vapochill Micro will be shown at CeBIT at the end of the week and at May 2 the first products will appear on the market.
Among them we can see two solutions with fans and one completely passive modell.
We look forward to see how well Vapochill Micro works, but if they can keep what they promise we can look forward to a very interesting launch. High performance at a low level of noise and at a low cost.
