OCZ has announced a new series of Solid State Drives called Summit. OCZ latest creation is different from the previous models as it uses Samsung components all the way through. Both memory controller and flash memory chips are made by Samsung. With 128MB cache OCZ Summit sports similar specifications as other Samsung-based drives like Corsair P256. OCZ ships Summit drives in different sizes, from 60GB up to 120GB and 250GB. The last two have considerably faster sustained write speeds than OCZ Vertex, most likely reflected by the price.
