
PC builder Alienware has never been scared of installing powerful hardware in its machines and little has changed since the company was acquired by Dell. Information on a new notebooks from Alienware has leaked, one with enough processing power to go around. Already at a first glance Alienware M17x gives the impression of something out of the ordinary, the rough design is not just for show.
Beside a High Definition 17" LCD screen you can define the hardware to your liking, for example a quad-core Core 2 Extreme processor, 8GB DDR3 RAM, up to 1TB storage and Blu-ray player.

The silver lining is the graphics portion of the computer, consisting of dual GeForce GTX 280M graphics cards. Alienware's computer is intended as a desktop replacement, also revealed by the weight of around 5kg.

Prices start at $1,800 but with specifications nowhere near those mentioned above.
