Zune HD is Microsoft's latest answer to Apple and its dominance with the iPod family. Zune HD has a lot in common with iPod Touch and Microsoft has set the sight for iPod Touch. Last week Microsoft released information on the Zune HD player with the juiciest details like price and availability left unannounced. Microsoft hasn't revealed anything more, but first impressions and a possible launch date has surfaced.
According to Windows guru Paul Thurrot Microsoft is planning to launch Zune HD on September 5, which means we will have to wait all summer for the new player.

What's good about Zune HD is that it looks to be a player worthy of the competition. Over at Engadget they got some hands-on time and they seem quite pleased with the player, especially the large and clear OLED display and well functioning operating system.
