Kingston, Patriot brings 128GB USB memories to market
Written by Andreas G 19 June 2009 13:10

We move more and more data between our computers and with High Definition video formats and digital cameras the storage space runs out faster and faster. The 1GB USB memory you bought years ago isn't even enough to store vacation pictures. The capacity of USB memories have increased fast and both Patriot Memory and Kingston have announced memories with 128GB capacity; Patriot Magnum and Kingston DataTraveler 200.

Patriot 128GB Magnum is rated at 210x read speed, which is equivalent to 31MB/s. No write speed was specified but it will probably take a while to fill a USB with 128GB. Kingston did not specify the speed, but did mention a price for the 128MB model: $546.
