AMD shipping Phenom II X4 965 3.4GHz samples soon
Written by Andreas G 29 June 2009 21:25

The mystic AMD Phenom II TWKR 42 processor is yet to make a public appearance, but now we also hear of more updates coming to the Phenom II X4 family. AMD will in short ship samples of the coming flagship Phenom II X4 965 and it will be clocked at 3.4GHz. According to the same source cited by TweakTown there is nothing saying it will become the next Black Edition, but we dare to say it will be.

AMD hopes that the new top model will become an interesting option for budget aware overclockers and the price will most likely be around $250 to $300. AMD hopes that the new processor, together with the coming 785 chipset, will lure all the more buyers to the Phenom II family and Socket AM3 platform.
