Sound card maker Auzentech announced back in November of 2008 that it would postpone the launch if its home cinema sound card Auzentech X-Fi HomeTheater HD. It then hoped to launch the card in January 2009, which wasn't very realistic when we look back. Now, Auzentech has announced that it will start shipping test samples to media in short and that the new card should arrive around the July/August break.
Auzentech X-Fi HomeTheater HD sports Creative's X-Fi audio processor and comes with one HDMI 1.3 output, there is also an input, you can send lossless audio signals to amplifiers and other devices supporting the formats. The card supports both Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD, which is used with most Blu-ray movies.
Except from the good audio format support, HomeTheater HD also brings EAX Advanced HD 5.0 support through the X-Fi audio circuit. Price is yet to be revealed.
