AMD has been in the spotlight for a few weeks thanks to the stories surrounding the mysterious Phenom II 42 TWKR processor. Legit Reviews has posted the first article on the new processor that is simply handpicked samples of Phenom II CPUs with extra high leakage for better overclocking. According to AMD the TWKR CPUs are on average good for 100-200MHz more than Phenom II X2 955, depending on cooling.
They tell us that the numbers "42" are both an homage to The Hitch Hikers Guide To The Galaxy, but also the number of cores and the frequency, since Phenom II 42 TWKR is a quad-core CPU where all four cores operate at 2GHz.
Anyone looking to buy a TWKR, will be disappointed because there is only around 100 CPUs made, all supposed to go back to the overclocking community, thus only chosen overclockers will get them.

AMD Phenom II 42 TWKR is only meant for the hardcore users, with connections. We are working on getting one, in which case you will hear more of TWKR in the future.
