NZXT Debuts Sentry 2 Touch Screen High-Performance Fan Controller
Written by Andreas G 02 July 2009 20:42

Case maker NZXT has launched a new accessory in the form of fan controller Sentry 2. What makes Sentry 2 different from the competition is that you will not find any knobs on the front of the 5.25 unit. Instead there is a large touchscreen that is used for setting the fan speed and showing various temperatures. The controller supports up to five different fans and can be used for manual settings or automatically setting the fan speed depending on the temperature.

NZXT Debuts Sentry 2 Touch Screen High-Performance Fan Controller

El Monte, CA – July 1, 2009 – NZXT, a company built on realizing the dreams of gamers worldwide, is proud to announce the Sentry 2, a full system fan controller with an advanced touch screen interface.  Sentry 2 easily installs in a 5.25” bay and is compatible with any fan that uses voltage control.  The innovative touch screen features ultra fast selection and response time and displays all pertinent info including temperature readout in both Celsius and Fahrenheit.  Sentry 2 allows users to control up to 5 fans with the option for manually tuning individual fan speeds or letting the automatic controls take over to correspond to a specific temperature.  The controller’s advanced functionality sounds an alarm to alert the user should the temperature exceed a preset amount and stores saved settings even after it is turned off.  Designed to maximize efficiency, the Sentry 2 supports 10W per channel and creates less heat than traditional temperature displays.

“Sentry 2 enables Enthusiasts and Gamers to maximize performance gains from effective air cooling” said Johnny Hou, Chief Designer at NZXT.  “Its unique touch screen and intuitive controls provide an ergonomic best-in-class user experience.”

The Sentry 2 will be available this month at an MSRP of 29.99.  For more information on the NZXT Sentry 2 visit www.nzxt.com/products/sentry_2
