Scythe's platform-like CPU cooler BIG Shuriken has been updated and as we reported a while back, it's a cooler for narrow spaces. Big Shuriken is only 58mm high, which is 6mm lower than the already low precursor, but the weight has increased to 405g. This is due to an extra heatpipe for better cooling. The cooler comes with a low-profile fan from the new Slip Stream Slim series and measures 120mm diagonally and only 12mm thick.
The fan is temperature controlled and can vary between 650~1600 RPM, which is plenty of airflow, while keeping noise at a minimum.
The cooler supports all modern processor platforms, though Socket LGA1156 wasn't mentioned. The price is around $35 and availability is very soon.
