Thecus presents new AJAX-based NAS interface
Written by Andreas G 20 July 2009 18:45

Storage maker Thecus is on the move and not having launched any new NAS units (Network Attached Storage) for a while it has instead presented a new user interface for its products. Based on AJAX the new interface will be both dynamic and interactive tool with a layout similar to those of modern operating systems. The new interface is available for three different NAS models, N5500, N7700SAS and N8800SAS.

Thecus has posted a quick preview of the new AJAX interface where it shows how to manage your NAS both locally and over the Internet. The video can be seen below;

It maximizes convenience by simplifying web-based operations. For example, when you want to add users to certain user groups, simply drag users and drop them to designated groups using your web browser - just like in Windows. With more animations and features on the AJAX interface, Thecus introduces unbeatable convenience to both home and office users.

More on the AJAX interface and other products at Thecus' website.
