AMD's new chipset 785G has appeared here and there, and of the companies that is looking at the more powerful chipset is Biostar. AMD 785G comes with an integrated Radeon HD 4200 graphics circuit, which brings everything from DirectX 10.1 to UVD2.0 and Hybrid CrossFireX. Packed with HDMI, DisplayPort, DVI and VGA outputs this sounds like an optimal HTPC and office PC chipset and Biostar seems to be agree.
Biostar TA785GE 128M is a micro ATX motherboard, which is quite common among HTPC and office PCs.
Biostar has supplied the board with 5 phase power supply where four are for the processor and one for the four DDR2 DIMM slots. So, the motherboard uses DDR2 memory and Biostar has chosen an overall affordable approach, which should result in a price around $80 in stores.
