NVIDIA recently got the GeForce 190.38 graphics card drivers approved by Microsoft and they have now been made available at the website. They bring many interesting updates and among them are fixes for Windows Vista and Windows 7 while the CUDA support has been updated to version 2.3, and there is now OpenGL 3.1 support. The performance in GPGPU applications has also been improved.
Furthermore it has broadened the support for PhysX acceleration and with the latest drivers PhysX works with all graphics cards of the GeForce 8, 9 and 200 families, as long as they sport 256MB or more graphics memory.
Another interesting detail with GeForce 190.38 is that you can set the power saving functions individually for each application. This setting only works with graphics cards of the GeForce 9 series or newer and enables users to lower clocks speeds of the cards in realtime. When the graphics card doesn't have to work very fast the clock frequencies are automatically reduced, and then when the load increases so does the frequencies.
