Lenovo IdeaCentre Q700, small system for the office or living room
Written by Andreas G 16 August 2009 18:37

Earlier we told you about Dell's coming mini-PC Zino HD that looks to become something of an accessory for the living room and HTPC users. As it turns out there more companies than just Dell that are interested in this group of users as Lenovo recently announced its cheap IdeaCentre Q700 system. The computer looks a bit like Dell's Zino HD, just lower and wider. Unlike Dell's mini-HTPC, we have complete specifications to show for Lenovo's system.

Even though the price of the computer is as low as 500€ there is no Atom processor inside. Instead, Lenovo has chosen the much more powerful dual-core processor Pentium E5200. The CPU operates at 2.5GHz and ships with 4GB RAM and Intel's GMA X4500 graphics.

Lenovo is selling two models, one with 320GB storage and the flagship with 640GB and one LAN-port, on top of the WiFi support. The systems have plenty of USB ports and both analog and digital audio outputs. Through the VGA and HDMI output you can connect IdeaCentre Q700 to a monitor or flatscreen TV.
