ASUS Eee Keyboard to Europe in October
Written by Andreas G 25 August 2009 21:11

One of the more exciting uses for Intel's budget processor Atom is ASUS' computer keyboard, Eee Keyboard. We now hear that ASUS is finally about to release Eee Keyboard in Europe. After many delays it looks like the fourth quarter is the time for launch, more precise October will be the month for this innovative computer system to climb up on the shelves in computer stores across Europe.

Whether the "computer" is keyboard or if the keyboard is a computer is a debate by itself, but either way it houses a complete PC that beside the 1.6GHz Atom N270 CPU also sports 1GB RAM, integrated graphics and SSD storage at 16GB or 32GB.

ASUS Eee Keyboard also brings WiFi and Bluetooth, and even if the keyboard comes with HDMI output there is no explicit need to use it. Eee Keyboard has an integrated 5" LCD with 800x480 pixel resolution and touch technology for accessing the various functions of the computer. The keyboard is expected to cost around 500€.
