LG offers the best possible monitor for avid gamers
Written by Andreas G 06 September 2009 21:31

LG Electronics, a provider of business solutions, today announced the release of its latest cutting-edge premium monitor pitched at dedicated gamers. LG's W63 monitor is specially designed to offer class-leading performance for the latest games and even boasts HD surround sound to put you in the game.

The 23'-wide full-HD (1920 x 1080 pixel resolution) W63 monitor features a host of technologies including Thru Mode, Tru Light, HD surround sound, and a zippy 2-MS response time to fully immerse gamers in the newest games.

'We're confident that the W63 gaming monitor will bring the ultimate experience to home gamers. LG's exclusive Thru Mode technology eliminates display delay, and takes gamers to a whole new level of realistic gaming,'said Managing Director of LG Electronics Levant, Mr. Kevin Cha.

Thru Mode delivers great excitement

Thru Mode is another new high-tech feature developed by LG Electronics which removes image processing to allow gamers to see the action as it occurs in real time. It has been specifically designed for gamers to boost response time and provide the fastest gaming experience available.

Tru Light provides an enjoyable ambience

Tru Light is a novel new feature that enables the monitor to react to sound and produce an ambient light along the bottom of the display. It adds a level of atmosphere to gaming, and users can toggle between four different modes that change the threshold for how the screen reacts to sound. The lighting can be set to operate in specific situations and works effectively to increase tension in games.

SRS Trusurround HD brings the scene to life

SRS Trusurround HD is designed to eliminate volume spikes often present in games or video to offer an enhanced listening experience. It also offers many added functions, ranging from the optimization of bass performance to dialog clarity, designed to enhance vocals and definition control for maximum high-frequency clarity.

The W63 also offers a comprehensive set of connectivity options designed to cater to a wide range of inputs. These range from full-HD connectors for Blu-ray, DVDs and the current-generation of games consoles to support for older devices including the Microsoft Xbox and Sony PlayStation 2.

In addition, the W63 monitor supports Picture-In-Picture (PIP) technology, which enables users to display two images simultaneously on the single screen. It's possible to use the PC while watching videos or gaming on inset windows. Features to adjust the picture quality include an Auto Brightness Control, which automatically optimizes the level of brightness, while Noise Reduction is included to automatically remove video noise to provide the best possible images.

'In addition to Thru Mode, we've included a range of features like Tru light and virtual 3D sound, which have been specifically designed to offer gamers the best possible experience,' added Mr. Cha.
