ASUS P7P55 LX - new entry level P55 board coming
Written by Andreas G 30 September 2009 20:47

ASUS P7P55 LX may be the next addition to ASUS P55 motherboard portfolio. It supports the latest Lynnfield processors Core i5-7xx and Core i7-8xx and looks to enter at the entry level. The motherboard will launch in October and looks to become ASUS' cheapest P55 motherboard so far and one of the most affordable overall. It use a simpler 4+1 phase design, but that won't hinder all too much when overclocking.

ASUS has equipped the board with four DDR3 memory slots that support speeds up to 2200MHz when overclocking, while it does bring ASUS Turbo-V overclocking technology to the table.

Other interesting functions include CrossFireX, ExpressGate, MemOK!, TurboKey, Fan Xpert, ASUS EPU, 7.1 channel audio, Gigabit Ethernet and more.

The motherboard sports passive cooling and price will be around $120.
