GeForce GTX 680 is a real speed freak, but overclocking is not as simple as we are used to. With that said there is nothing that can't be done with the help of a little violence and technology know-how. With a tailored voltage cirucitry an EVGA graphics card was overclocked to 1840 MHz.

The MOA final 2011 is over, and like the EMEA final earlier this year Romania was victorious, Monstru and Matose from Team Lab501. The runnerup was Greece and third Sweden with ME4ME and elmor. It was unusally tight and surprisingly few failures with 15 of 16 teams posting scores in all three benchmarks, while the four first teams (almost as always) was European, where Japan claimed the fifth spot. Ann-Sofie "Mink" Lönnqvist has co-written this report as our bystander for the competition.

AMD A series won our hearts earlier this summer when it launched with a very powerful integrated graphics processor and a very competitive price. Some of the few drawbacks we could find was a disappointing overclocking experience. During the last few weeks we could conclude that the problems are bigger that we though, where both USB 3.0 and AHCI are affected.

The new graphics cards with 28nm GPUs are still not here, and it looks like it will take some time before we see them. That doesn't mean that the current graphics card are no fun, and Chinese overclocker X800pro has shown that by breaking the world record with GTX 560 Ti.

Llano is the first processor architecture from AMD made with 32nm technology and we had hoped for good overclocking potential. Our tests of the flagship AMD A8-3850 did not show the potential we had been hoping for, though not bad. A Polish overclocker has now shown that Llano is capable of good frequencies by overclocking A8-3850 to more than 5 GHz.

ASUS GTX 580 DirectCu II is a formidable graphics card for overclocking, specially under liquid nitrogen. We have reported on the card and overclockers (elmor and Kinc) progress in the ASUS lab, then the fpcus has been on testing a single graphics card. Last weekend they were reinforced by Petri "SF3D" Korhonen and one became four and not surprisingly the gang focused on 3DMark Vantage.

As late as last week we got a sample of Radeon HD6870. The idea was to test and overclock the card using liquid nitrogen. This was to show what AMD's new circuits are capable of using extreme methods. The goal was to get results for launch day, but no matter how much we wanted it just wouldn't go. The results are more or less disappointing.
